Mexican security personnel were shot at by gunmen, resulting in the deaths of 4 police officers and 9 criminals.

In Mexico's Jalisco State, there was a confrontation between the police and the drug cartel. 13 persons perished in this. According to a representative, the meeting happened at El Salto. Four police officers and nine criminals were both slain.


The event was confirmed by Governor Enrique Alfaro. He stated: According to information provided to the police, two hostages were being held in a safe house. Also concealed are weapons. The cops then moved to take action.

Army sent out to stop illegal activity

The fear of drug traffickers and gang conflicts stalks the region where the shootings occurred in Mexico. The police and the drug cartel is known as the "Jalisco New Generation Cartel" have been engaged in violent fights here for years. In order to destroy the drug mafia, the government sent the army here in 2006. Since these violent acts have claimed the lives of more than 3 lakh individuals.
